6th Grade
The 6th graders continue to work on their final project, Frumpled Fairy Tales. This week we have run through the entire show once and then worked each scene at least twice.
Next week they are supposed to be "off book, " or all of their lines are supposed to be memorized. It is extremely important that parents go over the lines with their students each night.
I will be asking students to bring in small props that they will use in the play. They are going to leave them here in the classroom so they can use them everyday for rehearsal.
The final performance will be on February 21. The students will need to be here by 6:00 and the show starts at 7:00.

6th Grade
Today the students made a plan of action on how to memorize their lines. Please go over this with your students tonight and help them with their line memorization.
I've noticed that some of the students have a hard time remembering to bring their scripts and pencils to class, help them out by asking if they have them before they go to school everyday.
Thanks!

6th Grade
This week in the 6th grade we have started our final project. We will be performing the play, Frumpled Fairy Tale. Each student has at least one part and some more. This week and next we will be blocking the play and doing run throughs of the scenes we have finished with.
The students will need to have all of their lines memorized by February 11. If you could help your student by going over their lines with them at home it would help us move class forward.
The students will perform this play on February 21 at 7:00 here at ACMS.

7/8th Grade
The students continued to work on their second set of monologues this week. I saw performances from Romeo and Juliet, Othello, Midsummers Night Dream and many others. After seeing some of the work we as a class have decided to continue working on these pieces. After some careful thought the students decided they could make these pieces even better.
They will perform them once again on Wednesday, January 30th.
Please encourage your student to show you the work they have been doing in class. Some of them are still a little weak with their lines and could use the extra practice.
